12th SAG medalists feted


Kathmandu, May 5 Universal United Nepalese Taekwondo Federation (UUNTF) has awarded twelfth South Asian Games 2016 (SAG 2016) medalist of Taekwondo in Satdobato international stadium, Kathmandu in the presence of Chief Guest Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Deputy prime minister and minister of energy ministry. Once upon a time, Minister Rayamajhi used to be a Taekwondo Players. Eight male and five female players including coaches were awarded with cash and certificate. Mr. Prem Bahadur Buddhathoki participant (above 87Kg.) received 5000 Rs, Mr. Mohammad Besh participant (below 68 Kg.) received 5000 Rs., Mr. Bir Bahadur Mahara silver medalist (below 63Kg.) received 25,000 Rs., Mr. SuniI Paudel bronze medalist (below 58Kg.) received 15,000Rs., Mr. Chandra Bahadur Rana Magar participant (below 54Kg.) received 5000 Rs., Mr. Nishchalman Shrestha bronze medalist (below 74Kg.) received 15,000 Rs., Mr. Shakccham Karki silver medalist (below 80Kg.) received 25,000Rs. and Mr. Ram Hari Mahat bronze medalist (below 87Kg) received 15,000 Rs. Among female category Ms. Gyani Chunara silver medalist (below 57Kg.) received 25,000 Rs; Ms. Nima Gurung silver medalist (below 53Kg.) received 25,000 Rs. ,Ms. Aayesha Shakya silver medalist (below 62Kg.) received 25,000 Rs; Ms. Yam Kumari Chaulagai silver medalist (below 49Kg.) received 25,000 Rs. and Ms. Rejina Karki silver medalist (below 46Kg.) received 25,000 Rs. Likewise senior coach Mr. Dhurba Bahadur Pradhan, Sangina Baidhya and Taekwondo assistant coach Mr. Nabin Kumar Shrestha, Mr. Deepak Bista, Mr. Ganesh Bahadur Jimba including management member Mr, Suman Kumar Ghale were honored with cash and certificate. According to the Board of Director UUNTF US Chapter Mr. Santosh Pradhan, Universal United Nepalese Taekwondo Federation (UUNTF) was established in London England in July 24, 2014. It is the dream project of all enthusiastic Taekwondo players and masters who are residing around the world and collectively committed to support Nepalese athletes both financially and technically to achieve higher standards at National and International level. Every year, it is organizing taekwondo event in different continent accordingly new players are getting opportunity to visit different nation, getting opportunity to know new technology and techniques recently development in Taekwondo. UUNTF is aiming to reach in each door of VDC in Nepal instead of confining it into big cities and headquarter of the nation and district.
